SHIM -VALVE HEAD VALVE JOB PROCESS

When we do a standard valve job here at SBC we try to enhance both air-flow and port velocity. A shim type head the valve protrusion is very critical. All of our standard valve jobs are CNC machined on a NEWEN BB Contour Machine. We are going to take you step by step as we do a CNC machine valve job on a Kawasaki KXF 250 cylinder head.
Step 1.  Cylinder head is disassembled and parts are inspected. We Soda Blast cylinder head and valves.
Step 2. Valve guides are checked to factory specifications. If they are out of specification they are removed
Step 3. Valve stem diameter are measured and valve length is measure and recorded
Step 4. Valve protrusion is measured and recorded
Step 5. Head is installed on NEWEN machine and both intake and exhaust seat profiles are designed
